Tuna Melts

1 can tuna in water (5 to 7 oz)
1 egg
1/3 to 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
freshly grated Parmesan cheese
salt
1 to 2 tablespoons salted butter

Drain the water from the canned tuna and place it in a larger bowl.

Break apart the tuna to make it easier to mix.

Add 1 egg to the tuna and mash it together.

Add salt to taste, depending on the saltiness of the tuna.

Add freshly grated Parmesan cheese to the mixture.

Add 1/3 to 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar cheese to the bowl.

Combine all ingredients together using a fork.

Form the mixture into two patties.

Heat a non-stick pan to medium heat and add 1 to 2 tablespoons of salted butter.

Once the butter is melted, carefully drop in the patties.

Press down slightly on the patties to flatten them out.

Cook for 1 to 2 minutes on one side, then flip the patties carefully.

Press down on the patties after flipping to ensure they cook evenly.

Cook until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked to your liking, about 3 to 4 minutes total.
