Start with 1 cup of roasted peanuts, which can be salted or unsalted.

If using raw peanuts, roast them in the oven or on the stovetop before using.

Place the peanuts into a high-powered blender.

Secure the lid on the blender and begin grinding the peanuts.

Blend in short bursts of about 5 seconds each, scraping down the sides of the jar as needed.

After about 1 minute of grinding, check the consistency; the nuts should be starting to form a paste but may still have chunks.

Continue blending for a total of about 2 minutes until the peanut butter reaches your desired smoothness.

Transfer the peanut butter into a mason jar or container of your choice.
