Combine 1 cup of self-rising flour and 3/4 cup of yogurt in a bowl.
If using regular yogurt, start with 1/2 cup and adjust as needed for consistency.
Knead the mixture until it forms a slightly sticky dough.
Divide the dough into four pieces.
Shape the pieces into donuts, about 1 inch thick, using your hands or cookie cutters.
Prepare the air fryer basket by spraying it with coconut oil or brushing with melted butter.
Place the donuts in the air fryer basket, oil side down, and brush the tops with oil.
Set the air fryer to 350°F and cook for 6-8 minutes, flipping halfway through.
Make the glaze by mixing 4 tablespoons of melted butter, 1 cup of powdered sugar, 1 teaspoon of vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of hot water until smooth.
Check the donuts after 6 minutes, flipping them if necessary, and cook for additional time if needed.
Once cooked, let the donuts cool slightly before glazing them.
Dip each donut in the glaze to coat well, or brush with oil and sprinkle with sugar.
For a chocolate glaze, add cocoa powder to the leftover glaze and heat in the microwave for 10-15 seconds.
