In a larger bowl, add eggs and salt, mix.

Add vanilla sugar, lemon peel, sugar, warm milk, and dry yeast, mix for 1 minute.

Gradually add flour and mix.

After adding some flour, knead the dough by hand for 5 minutes.

Gradually add melted butter and knead until all butter is added.

Cover the dough with foil and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

In a pan, add sugar, vanilla sugar, lemon peel, honey, and water, mix and let boil for 10 minutes.

After 1 hour, take the dough out and divide it into 12 equal parts.

Form the martyrs from each piece of dough and place them in a pan.

Coat the martyrs with a mixture of 2 egg yolks and 100 ml of cream or milk.

Bake the martyrs at 180 degrees for 25 minutes.

While still warm, pass the martyrs through the syrup, then through the ground walnut.
