Add 2 medium onions, cut, and cook until they reach a perfect color (not burnt or undercooked).

Add 4.5 glasses of water to the pan once the onions are cooked.

Bring the water to a boil.

Add the soaked brown rice to the boiling water.

Gently stir the rice to avoid breaking the grains.

Cover the pan with a lid or a rag and reduce the heat to medium to let it cook on dum (steam).
