Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder in a bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
Melt the butter and mix it with the egg mixture and vanilla extract.
Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking tray.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cake springs back when touched.
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.
Dust a clean kitchen towel with powdered sugar and invert the cake onto it.
Peel off the parchment paper and roll the cake with the towel from one end.
Let the rolled cake cool completely.
Meanwhile, prepare the filling by whipping the heavy cream and mixing in melted chocolate.
Unroll the cooled cake and spread the chocolate filling evenly on top.
Roll the cake back up without the towel and place seam-side down.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving.
