Today, variations can be found across Colombia and in Colombian communities worldwide, each with its own twist on ingredients and preparation methods.

Peel the green banana and make cuts to remove the peel, using hands.
Peel and cut the carrot and corn.
In the Instant Pot, add pork, beef ribs, green banana, and carrot.
Add a sprig of chives, garlic, and 4 cups of water to the pot.
Add a little bit of salt.
Cover the pot and set to cook for 20 minutes, deactivating the keep warm function.
While cooking, cut the yucca and add a quarter of finely chopped red pepper and finely chopped chives.
In a separate pot, heat olive oil and add 1 cup of white rice, cooking until transparent.
Add 2 cups of water, garlic powder, and salt to the rice, then cover and cook on low heat for 10 minutes until dry.
Finely chop a generous amount of cilantro for garnish.
Remove the vegetables (chives, carrots, garlic) from the Instant Pot and blend them with a little broth.
Check that the ribs are very soft, then remove all the meat, corn, and banana, leaving only the broth in the pot.
Transfer the broth to a larger pot and strain it (optional).
Add chicken, yucca, and potato to the broth, adding more water as needed.
Add paprika, previously chopped chives, and the blended carrot for color.
Cook until the chicken, yucca, and potato are cooked through.
Add the previously cooked ingredients back to the pot and check the salt level.
Add ground pepper and let it cook for about 5 more minutes.
Turn off the heat and add cilantro, letting it rest before serving.
Serve with white rice and avocado.
