For the ingredients: 1 cup soaked garbanzo beans or canned chickpeas, 1 chorizo sausage, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1/2 green pepper, 1 bay leaf, 1/4 cup parsley, 6 ounces tomato sauce, lime juice, saffron strands, 1 tablespoon oregano, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste, and olive oil.

Cook the garbanzo beans for 30 minutes.

Add olive oil to a pan to start frying the peppers and onions.

Add the bay leaf and onion to the pan.

Add minced garlic to the pan.

Add the chorizo sausage to the pan.

Add the tomato sauce to the pan.

Add a few strands of saffron to the pan (or sazon if saffron is unavailable).

Add the dry seasonings: oregano, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the pan.
