In a bowl, combine 1 cup self-rising white cornmeal and 1 cup self-rising flour.

Add 1 cup sugar to the mixture.

Stir in 3.5 teaspoons baking powder and 1 teaspoon salt.

In another bowl, mix together 1 cup heavy cream, 1/3 cup olive oil, and 2 eggs.

Chop and add 1/3 of a yellow sweet onion to the mixture.

Add about 1/3 cup of chopped jalapenos and some of the juice to the bowl.

Incorporate about 1/2 cup of corn into the mixture.

Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.

Pour the batter into a 9x9 pan.

Bake in the oven at 350°F for 20-25 minutes.
