3 and 1/4 cups water
2 tablespoons chicken bouillon

Peel the potatoes.

Dice the potatoes and place them in a stock pot.

Dice 1/3 cup of celery and chop 1/3 cup of onion.

Add the celery and onion to the stock pot.

Dice 1/3 cup of cooked ham and add it to the stock pot.

Cover everything with 3 and 1/4 cups of water.

Slowly stir in 2 cups of milk while whisking constantly to avoid lumps.

Continue to cook the milk mixture over medium low heat for about 4 to 5 minutes until it thickens, stirring constantly to keep it smooth.

Stir the milk mixture into the stock pot and continue to cook for about 5 minutes longer.
