Soak yeast in water and set aside.

Soak dates in hot water and set aside.

Take both types of flour in a bowl. Add egg, fennel powder, saffron, and milk powder in it. Mix well.

Add the yeast mixture and the water of soaked dates by straining them. Combine well.

Knead into a smooth dough.

Cover with cellophane paper and set aside for 30 minutes.

Roll out the dough and cut using a cutter.

Brush the surface with beaten egg yolks.

Bake in a Khameer maker for 1 minute from the bottom and 30 seconds from the top.
