Add chopped onion, carrots, and celery; sauté until softened.

Stir in chopped garlic and cook for another minute.

Add the rinsed lentils, stock, tomato paste, bay leaf, fresh rosemary, and salt.

Close the lid and set the Instant Pot to pressure cook for the appropriate time until lentils are tender.

Release the pressure and remove the bay leaf before serving.
