3/4 cup toor dal
1/4 cup moong dal
2 tomato
2 green chilli
2 cup water
2 tbsp ghee
mustard seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 dried red chilli
curry leaves
5 garlic cloves
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder
salt to taste

Wash the lentils - 3/4 cup toor dal + 1/4 cup moong dal. If you don't have moong dal, use 1 cup of toor dal.

In a pressure cooker, add 3/4 cup toor dal, 1/4 cup moong dal, 2 chopped tomatoes, 2 chopped green chillies and 2 cups of water. Cook on medium flame for 2-3 whistles.

In a kadai, add 2 tbsp ghee and splutter mustard seeds. Add 1 tsp cumin seeds, 2 broken dried red chillies, few curry leaves, 5 sliced garlic cloves and saute for a min.

To this, add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder and 1 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder. Give it a mix and add the cooked dal with salt to taste.

Combine them well, add 1 cup water and cook on low flame for 3 mins.

Finally, add few coriander leaves and it's ready to serve!
