Measure 2 cups of margarine and 1 cup of sugar, then cream them together until smooth.
Preheat the oven.
Break 6 eggs into a bowl, whisk them, and set aside.
Measure 3.5 cups of all-purpose flour and sift it.
Measure 1 tbsp of baking powder, a pinch of salt, and add 1 tsp of milk flavor and 1 tsp of ground nutmeg to the flour, then stir to mix.
In a separate bowl, combine the creamed margarine and sugar with the whisked eggs, adding 1 tbsp of vanilla essence.
Mix the wet ingredients well, then gradually add the dry ingredients in batches, mixing thoroughly after each addition.
Measure 1 cup of milk and add enough water to reach 1 cup, then mix it into the batter until smooth.
Prepare the baking tray by greasing it with butter and coating it with flour.
Transfer the batter to the prepared baking tray and bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes.
