In a pot, pour the coconut milk and dilute it with water because it is too concentrated.
Add cardamom powder to the coconut milk (optional).
Mix the coconut milk and taste to check if it needs salt.
Cover the pot and bring the coconut milk to a boil.
Once boiling, add the soaked rice to the pot.
Mix the rice gently with a spatula and taste to check the salt level.
Cover the pot and cook on very low heat until the coconut milk is absorbed, stirring gently to avoid breaking the rice.
Make small holes in the rice to allow steam to escape, then cover with parchment paper and aluminum foil.
Cook on very low heat for 25 minutes.
