Cultural Context

Originating from Northern Italy, Osso Buco translates to 'bone with a hole,' referring to the marrow-filled bone at the center of the veal shank. Traditionally served with gremolata, it embodies the Italian philosophy of using simple, high-quality ingredients to create rich flavors. Today, Osso Buco is enjoyed worldwide, often paired with risotto or polenta, showcasing its versatility and appeal.
