1 teaspoon anise seed
2 large eggs

Welcome to my home. Today we are making aripitas de maiz, also known as cornmeal fritters.

Add carnation milk and evaporated milk to the cornmeal.

Add butter, some salt, sugar, anise seed, and eggs.

To make it smoother and runnier, add some water to achieve a watery consistency.

Simmer the mixture in a pot on medium-high heat, stirring until it starts to dry up a bit.

Once it dries up, remove it from heat and let it cool.

Once cooled, form the dough into small shapes suitable for frying.

Heat oil in a pan on medium-high.

Fry the formed dough for about 3 to 5 minutes until golden on both sides.
