Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (355 degrees Fahrenheit).

Sift self-raising flour with a pinch of salt into a bowl.

Make a well in the center of the flour and add 75 grams of melted butter.

Boil water and measure out 300 milliliters.

Steep English breakfast tea in the boiling water for 4 minutes.

Add 125 grams of raisins and 125 grams of sultanas to the tea water along with 200 grams of dark brown sugar and stir to dissolve.

Let the mixture cool for 30 minutes and then remove the tea bag, squeezing it to extract the liquid.

Optionally, let the mixture sit covered for 4 hours or preferably overnight.

Combine the soaked fruit and liquid with the flour mixture and stir until combined.

Divide the mixture between two lined 450 gram loaf tins.
