Bourbon Chicken

2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breast
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon ginger paste
1 tablespoon garlic paste
1 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon grape seed oil
1 tablespoon butter
black pepper
garlic powder
onion powder
all-purpose seasoning

Cut the chicken breast in half to fit inside the meat slicer.

Use the meat slicer to slice the chicken into thin strips.

Season the chicken with black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Heat 1 tablespoon of grape seed oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a pan over medium-high heat.

Add the chicken in a single layer and sear undisturbed for 3 to 4 minutes until golden crust forms.

Flip the chicken and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes, slightly undercooking it.

Lower the heat to medium and add 1/3 cup soy sauce, 1/2 cup hoisin sauce, 1 tablespoon ginger paste, 1 tablespoon garlic paste, and bourbon to the pan.

Stir until the garlic and ginger paste have melted in.

Add 1 cup of loosely packed brown sugar and stir well.

Let the sauce simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens and becomes sticky.

Add the chicken back into the sauce and toss to coat.
