Simple, six-ingredient bird's nest cookies for Easter
Recipe Information
Bird's Nest Cookies
Whip 1 egg white with a pinch of salt, some powdered sugar, and honey until it creates a white paste.
Add about 200 g of blanched sliced almonds to the egg white mixture and mix gently to combine.
On a piece of parchment paper on a sheet pan, make little piles of the mixture, creating a well in the middle with the back of a spoon.
Place three chocolate eggs into each well of the cookie piles.
Bake in a low oven at 300°F for about 20 minutes to par-cook them.
After 20 minutes, return the cookies to the oven for an additional 5 to 10 minutes to allow the almond part to bake fully and crack around the eggs.
