Pour in 3 cups of low sodium chicken broth into the crock pot with the diced tomatoes.

Add 1 tablespoon of dried basil and 1 tablespoon of dried parsley to the mixture.

Stir in 4 teaspoons of minced garlic (adjust to taste).

Add 1 cup of tomato juice and 1 teaspoon of onion powder to the crock pot.

Pour in 1 cup of water into the crock pot.

If desired, add cilantro instead of parsley.

Add your choice of pasta (chickpea or regular) to the crock pot, ensuring to remove it once the meal is done to prevent overcooking.
