Traditionally prepared for special occasions and family gatherings, it showcases the conch, a mollusk prized for its tender meat and unique flavor. This dish is often accompanied by rice or bread, making it a hearty meal. Today, it is enjoyed not only in Haiti but also in Caribbean communities worldwide, where variations may include different spices or vegetables.

Avocado oil is healthier and has a higher smoke point.
Wash the conch with fresh lime juice and cold water thoroughly.
Slice the conch to help it cook faster.
Add lime juice to the conch.
Add paprika, thyme, chicken Maggi, black pepper, cloves, garlic powder, and adobo to the conch and mix.
Let the conch marinate in the refrigerator until the next morning.
Put the marinated conch on the stove and add a whole hot pepper and enough water to cover it.
Cook the conch on medium-low heat for about 1 hour to 1 hour and 30 minutes until tender.
Remove the liquid from the cooked conch to prepare for the sauce.
In a separate pan, heat oil and add tomato paste to give color.
Add seasoning salt to the tomato paste and stir.
Add bell peppers, onion, and red peppers to the mixture.
Pour the reserved liquid back into the pan with the vegetables and stir.
Add a spoonful of Asian hot sauce for heat and stir.
Let the mixture warm for about a minute before serving.
