100g plain yoghurt
100ml milk
200g salty cheese
7g dry yeast
2-3 tbsp cumin
Approx. 500g flour
2 egg yolks for washing

In a bowl, add the melted and cooled down butter and lard. If you don't have lard, you can use butter instead.

Also add in the whisked eggs, milk, yoghurt, the grated salty cheese and the dry yeast.

Mix well and add the flour bit by bit. After the dough gets a bit solid, transfer on a floured work surface and knead the dough until you reach the consistency of playdough. You need to keep adding flour until the desired consistency.

Roll the dough out into a rectangle and using cookie cutters, you can cut into desired shapes.

Transfer onto a baking tray and wash with the egg yolks mixed with 2 tbsp of milk. Then sprinkle cumin seeds on each snack.

Bake in the oven at 180 degrees C until they reach the golden brown colour.
