1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon kosher salt
2 minced garlic cloves
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 cup bread crumbs
2 eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tablespoon unsalted butter
1/4 cup grated onions (for sauce)
1 cup chili sauce
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons chili powder
2 tablespoons yellow mustard
Hawaiian rolls
American cheese
Fresh parmesan (for garnish)
Butter (for brushing)
Sesame seeds (for garnish)
1

Combine 1 pound ground beef and 1 pound pork sausage in a bowl.

2

Add 1/4 cup fresh chopped parsley, 1 tablespoon fresh oregano, 1 tablespoon basil, and 1/2 cup grated onions to the meat mixture.

3

Season with 1 teaspoon black pepper and 1 teaspoon kosher salt.

4

Add 2 minced garlic cloves, 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce, 1/4 cup sour cream, and 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese to the bowl.

5

Mix all ingredients together gently with gloves on, ensuring not to press too hard.

6

Add 1/2 cup bread crumbs gradually, followed by 2 eggs and 1/2 cup milk, mixing until well incorporated.

7

Roll the mixture into meatballs the size of golf balls and place them on parchment paper.

8

Refrigerate the meatballs for about 1 hour to firm up their texture and shape.

9

Preheat the oven to 375°F and bake the meatballs for about 20 minutes until they reach an internal temperature of 160°F.

10

In a saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon unsalted butter over medium heat and add 1/4 cup grated onions, cooking for about 1 minute.

11

Stir in 1 cup chili sauce and 1/2 cup water, mixing well.

12

Add 2 teaspoons chili powder and 2 tablespoons yellow mustard to the sauce, stirring to combine.

13

Let the sauce simmer for about 3 minutes until it thickens slightly and taste for seasoning.

14

Once the meatballs are done, coat them in the chili sauce and let them marinate for about 10 minutes.

15

Prepare a cookie sheet with non-stick spray and use a bread knife to cut Hawaiian rolls in half, keeping them intact.

16

Place the bottom half of the rolls on the cookie sheet and layer with American cheese.

17

Add the meatballs on top of the cheese, placing one meatball in each row.

18

Pour the remaining chili sauce over the meatballs generously.

19

Grate fresh parmesan cheese over the meatballs.

20

Place the top half of the rolls on top of the meatballs.

21

Brush melted butter over the top of the rolls and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.

22

Return the assembled sliders to the oven at 375°F for about 5 minutes until slightly browned.

23

Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
