Peel the skin from the cassava and remove the core.
Wash the cassava until the water runs clear.
Grate the cassava or cut it into smaller pieces and blend it with a little bit of water until achieving the right consistency.
Strain out the water from the blended cassava using a clean cloth until it is dry.
Blend half an onion with spring onions.
Mix the dry cassava with the blended onions and salt to taste.
Mold the cassava mixture into round balls.
Heat cooking oil in a skillet until hot.
Fry the molded cassava balls until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
