In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat; add chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
Add diced bacon and cook until crispy, about 5-6 minutes.
Stir in cream and season with pepper and nutmeg; cook until slightly thickened, about 2-3 minutes.
Add the cooked dumplings to the skillet; gently toss to coat with the sauce.
Sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
