Start by gathering all the ingredients needed for the Gizzada recipe.
In a pot, add 3 tbsp of butter and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar, then add ginger, 1/2 tsp of nutmeg, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon, and 1/2 cup of raisins. Mix these ingredients together on medium heat for about 5-7 minutes.
Set the filling aside after cooking.
In a mixing bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 tbsp of baking powder, and 1 tsp of salt.
Break up 2 tbsp of butter into the flour mixture.
Add milk (or water) to the flour mixture and knead until the dough is soft.
Let the dough sit covered for 30 to 45 minutes.
Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut it into circles to form cups.
Place the dough cups in a baking container and refrigerate for 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 320°F.
Fill the dough cups with the coconut filling and bake for 25-30 minutes.
