1 cup brown sugar, packed
3 tsp. cinnamon
3 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp. unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
1 cup milk
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tbsp. milk
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

To make the topping, stir the brown sugar, cinnamon and melted butter. Set aside.

Preheat oven to 375°F. Line a muffin pan with 12 paper liners.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

In a large bowl, whisk the melted butter, egg and milk.

With a wooden spoon, stir in the dry ingredients until slightly combined, do not over-mix.

Stir in 2/3 of the topping mixture until incorporated.

Fill each muffin liner 2/3 way full.

Sprinkle the remaining topping on top of each batter.

Bake for 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with no crumbs.

Cool in the pan for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla extract. Drizzle over the top of the muffins.

Transfer the muffins onto a wire rack to cool.
