The easiest potato gratin recipe | Using only 4 simple ingredients
Recipe Information
Swedish Potato Gratin
Slice potatoes thinly and lay them out on a towel to dry.
In a pan, mix 2 tbsp of olive oil and 2 tbsp of butter.
Add chopped onion and sauté for 1 minute over medium heat.
Pour in cream and add sliced potatoes.
If cream is curdling, ensure it is not too cold.
Add salt and dried garlic to taste and mix well.
Leave on medium-low heat for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Grease a baking form (16*16*5 cm) with butter.
Put half of the creamy potatoes in the form.
Sprinkle with half of the grated cheese.
Layer the remaining potatoes on top.
Add the rest of the cheese on top.
Optionally add black pepper.
Bake in a preheated oven at 190°C (375°F) for 25-30 minutes.
