In a large bowl, mix the masa harina and salt together.

Gradually add the chicken broth to the masa harina, mixing until a smooth dough forms.

In a separate bowl, combine the shredded chicken, tomato sauce, and crumbled cheese to make the filling.

Cut the banana leaves into squares (about 8x8 inches) and soften them by briefly passing them over an open flame or steaming them.

Take a small ball of masa dough and flatten it into a disc on a banana leaf square.

Place a spoonful of the chicken filling in the center of the disc.

Fold the banana leaf over the masa to enclose the filling, creating a packet.
