Chopped dill pickles provide a similar tang without extra cost

Hard boil and peel a few eggs

Once cooled, place the eggs in a food processor

Add mayonnaise (regular or light)

Add a squeeze of mustard

Add a little salt and black pepper

Put the top on the food processor and blend until smooth, scraping down the bowl once or twice if needed

Optionally, add fresh dill, hot sauce, or a spoonful of pickle relish for variation

Serve the dip surrounded by cut up veggies for dipping
