Chopped dill pickles provide a similar tang without extra cost

Hard-boil and peel a few eggs.

Once the eggs have cooled, place them in a food processor.

Add some mayo (regular or light) to the food processor.

Squeeze in a bit of mustard.

Add a little salt and pepper.

Put the top on the food processor and blend until smooth, scraping down the bowl once or twice as needed.

Optionally, add fresh dill, hot sauce, or a spoonful of pickle relish for extra flavor.

Serve the dip surrounded by cut-up veggies.
