Traditionally enjoyed at breakfast, it embodies the art of lamination, where layers of dough and butter create its flaky texture. Today, croissants are enjoyed worldwide, with variations like chocolate or almond croissants becoming popular.
unsalted butter

Coconut oil is dairy-free and can provide a similar texture.
all-purpose flour
🥗Healthier: whole wheat flour
💰Cheaper: bread flour
Whole wheat flour adds fiber, while bread flour can improve texture.
In a bowl, combine 150 grams of milk with 50 grams of sugar.
Add 6 grams of instant yeast to the milk and sugar mixture.
Mix the ingredients well.
Add 350 grams of all-purpose flour to the mixture.
Knead the dough by gradually adding milk, ensuring the dough is not too wet or dry.
If the dough is too thin, add 1 tablespoon of flour to thicken it.
Incorporate 50 grams of butter into the dough and mix until well combined.
Grease a bowl with oil and place the dough inside, covering it to proof for 1 hour in a warm place.
After 1 hour, divide the dough into two portions, keeping one for later use.
Roll out the dough into flat rounds, ensuring to keep a distance of three fingers between them.
Layer the rounds with melted butter in between, ensuring the top and bottom layers are slightly larger to seal in the butter.
