Air fryer chicken has gained popularity in many households for its ability to produce crispy, juicy chicken with less oil than traditional frying methods. The air fryer, a modern kitchen appliance, allows for healthier cooking while maintaining flavor and texture. This dish is perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings, showcasing the versatility of chicken in contemporary cuisine.

Slice the chicken breast thinly, about 1/4 inch thick, making two to three layers if needed.
Cut the slices into small rectangles roughly 1 inch by 1 inch.
Place the chicken in a bowl and add Korean frying mix and corn starch or potato starch. Mix well until there is no dry powder left.
Add some oil and mix again to coat each piece lightly.
Line the air fryer tray with parchment paper and spray the chicken so the pieces don't overlap.
Put the chicken into the air fryer. Set it to 400° for 12 minutes, allowing it to preheat before cooking starts.
After the first 12 minutes, flip all the chicken pieces and cook again at 400° for another 12 minutes.
While the chicken finishes cooking, make the sauce by adding soy sauce, vinegar, water, sugar, honey, minced garlic, and black pepper into a pan.
Stir until the sugar dissolves, bring it to a boil over medium-high heat, and simmer for about 3 to 5 minutes until it thickens slightly.
Once the chicken is golden and crispy, turn off the heat and add the chicken to the sauce. Toss well until every piece is evenly coated.
Sprinkle in some sesame seeds and give it one last mix.
Plate the chicken and garnish with some chopped green onions and extra sesame seeds.
