Simple Sugar Cookie Bars Recipe

Cream 1 cup butter or margarine, softened with 1 cup sugar.

Add 2 eggs and 1 tsp vanilla essence, mix well.

In a separate bowl, mix 4 cups cake flour, 1/4 tsp salt, and 1 tsp baking powder.

Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until a dough forms.

Add sprinkles to the dough and mix.

Press the dough into a greased pan or use baking paper.

Prick the dough with a fork and add extra sprinkles on top.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 15-20 minutes.

For frosting, cream 1/3 cup butter, softened with 1 cup powdered sugar.

Add 2 tbsp milk and mix until smooth. Food coloring can be added if desired.

Allow the bars to cool completely before frosting.

Spread the frosting over the cooled bars and top with sprinkles.
