self-rising flour

All-purpose flour with baking powder can mimic self-rising flour.
Greek yogurt
🥗Healthier: plain yogurt
💰Cheaper: sour cream
Sour cream can provide similar moisture and tang.
Put a pot on the stovetop, fill it with water, and bring it to a simmer.
In a bowl, add self-raising flour. If you don't have it, mix 1 cup of all-purpose flour with 2 teaspoons of baking powder to make your own.
Add Greek yogurt to the flour in the bowl.
Mix the flour and yogurt together until it forms a dough. If the dough is dry, add a few tablespoons more yogurt until it comes together.
Knead the dough briefly on the countertop until it forms a tight ball.
Divide the dough into six pieces and form them into balls.
Flatten each ball until they are around 3.5 to 4 inches in diameter.
Use a piping nozzle (1 inch in diameter) to cut out the center of each bagel to form the bagel shape.
Place the bagels on a tray lined with parchment paper.
Boil the bagels in simmering water for 30 to 40 seconds on each side.
Remove the bagels from the water using tongs and a lifter.
Prepare an egg wash and brush it over the bagels.
Sprinkle everything seasoning on the bagels, or sesame seeds for a different topping.
For cheese bagels, apply egg wash and add cheese towards the end of baking to prevent it from overcooking.
Bake the bagels in the oven until golden brown.
