Knead the dough by folding the ingredients into one another until it feels like play-doh, ensuring it’s not too sticky or too dry.
Form the dough into a ball, flatten it, and cut it into four equal pieces.
Roll each piece into a ball, then use your thumb and middle finger to pinch a hole in the center and stretch it out to form a bagel.
Brush each bagel with an egg wash and sprinkle everything bagel seasoning on top.
Bake the bagels at 350°F for about 25 minutes.
Introduce the second method for making bagels, using 1 and 1/2 cups of self-rising flour (sifted) and 1 cup of Greek yogurt.
Repeat the mixing and kneading process as in the first method.
After forming the bagels, dunk them in boiling water for about 1 minute and 20 seconds, flipping them after 1 minute.
Remove the bagels from the boiling water and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake the dunked bagels at 425°F for about 25 minutes.
Add brown sugar and cinnamon to the second batch of bagels before baking.
Suggest baking directly on the baking sheet or spraying parchment paper with oil to prevent sticking.
Show the finished bagels, including plain, everything bagel, and brown sugar and cinnamon varieties.
