1.5 pounds ground beef
1/2 large yellow onion, finely diced
black pepper
cumin
cinnamon
cayenne pepper
2 bay leaves
minced garlic
a few tablespoons red wine vinegar
crushed tomatoes
a little bit of water
a few raisins
sliced pimento stuffed olives
white rice
sliced scallions

Brown 1.5 pounds of ground beef over medium-high heat.

Once halfway browned, add 1/2 large yellow onion, finely diced, and cook until beef is completely browned and onions are translucent (about 5 minutes).

Drain off any excess grease if necessary.

Add spices: black pepper, cumin, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, and 2 bay leaves. Cook for about 2 minutes.

Add minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.

Add a few tablespoons of red wine vinegar and crushed tomatoes, stirring to combine.

Add a little bit of water and a few raisins. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for about 15 minutes.

Stir the mixture after 15 minutes.

Add a few sliced pimento stuffed olives, gently stir in, cover, and cook for another 15 minutes.

Serve with perfectly molded white rice and top with sliced scallions.
