Kefta Kebab

1 LB ground beef - 80% lean/20% fat content
1 small minced onion --liquid drained
1 TSP turmeric powder
1 TSP red chili powder
1 TSP garlic powder
1 TBSP cumin-coriander powder mix
salt and crushed black pepper to taste
2 TBSP Cooking oil

In a bowl add all the ingredients mentioned above, except for cooking oil.

Mix well, flatten, cover and refrigerate at least for 1 hour, ideally for 4 hours.

Remove Kefta kebab mixture from fridge and make 7 round balls.

Meanwhile heat up a non stick Grill Pan & spray it with cooking oil.

Flatten Kefta balls into oblong discs.

Place Kefta kebabs in grill pan & grill for 2 minutes per side.

Remove cooked kebabs from pan, drain excess oil on paper towel.

Transfer them to serving dish/platter and serve them with grilled onion, grilled tomato slices & steamed basmati rice, pita bread.
