Add 4 cups of all-purpose flour to a mixing bowl.
Add 2 tablespoons of baking powder and 1 teaspoon of salt to the flour and mix well.
Gradually add warm water to the dry ingredients, little by little.
Knead the dough using your knuckles until it reaches a smooth texture, adding more dry flour if it gets too sticky.
Once the dough is crack-free and the gluten is tightened, divide the dough into round balls of your preferred size.
Lightly flour the work surface and use a rolling pin to roll each ball evenly to the desired size.
Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add a little cooking oil.
Place the rolled dough into the hot pan and cook until bubbles form on the surface.
Once the bottom side is a darker brown color, flip the roti over and cook the other side until it also turns a darker color.
Cut the roti into desired shapes and serve.
