Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Transfer the pie crust to the pie dish, ensuring it fits well and is even on the sides.
Use additional dough to fill in any gaps in the crust by hand.
Poke holes in the crust to allow steam to escape during baking.
Pre-bake the crust in the oven for 5-7 minutes to firm it up.
Remove the crust from the oven and layer the apple mixture evenly inside.
Whip egg whites with a pinch of salt and gradually add sugar until foamy.
Layer the whipped egg whites over the apples.
Mix flour, sugar, and butter together to create a crumbly topping and sprinkle it over the pie.
Bake the pie in the oven for 60 minutes.
