Heat grease to 175°C.
Set aside powdered sugar to avoid mixing with other ingredients.
Mix all dry ingredients together.
Add eggs one by one to the dry mixture.
Add butter and cream to the mixture.
Mix until a dough forms, but do not overmix.
If the dough is too wet, add extra flour until it firms up.
Roll the dough into pieces approximately 10 cm long and 2 cm wide.
Tie the rolled dough into knots.
Fry the knots in the hot grease for 3 to 5 minutes, turning them to ensure even cooking.
Once they are a nice brown color, remove them and place on kitchen paper to drain excess grease.
After cooling, sprinkle powdered sugar on top before serving.
