Peel the yams.

Chop the ends off the yams and cut them into even pieces.

Rinse the chopped yams in a strainer to clean them.

Place the yams into the Instant Pot.

Add salted butter to the yams in the pot.

Pour in a nice amount of vanilla extract.

Add a mixture of ground clove and ground ginger to the pot.

Add ground nutmeg to the mixture.

Add white sugar and brown sugar to the pot.

Close the lid of the Instant Pot and set it to cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.

Once done, allow the pressure to release naturally for 10 minutes before quick-releasing any remaining pressure.
