1 pouch long grain and wild rice
1 tablespoon grapeseed oil
1 tablespoon garlic
8 ounces mushrooms
pinch of salt
black pepper
1 tablespoon caliente hot sauce

Boil 2.25 cups of water in a pot.

Add 1 tablespoon of butter to the boiling water.

Open and add 2 packets of Herbox sodium free chicken stock to the pot; stir until dissolved.

Pour in the pouch of long grain and wild rice and stir.

Once it comes back to a boil, reduce heat to a simmer and cook for 25 minutes.

In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of grapeseed oil and 1 tablespoon of butter.

Add sliced onions to the skillet and cook until caramelized.

Add 1 tablespoon of garlic to the caramelized onions.

Add 8 ounces of mushrooms to the skillet and cook until softened.

Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper; add 1 tablespoon of caliente hot sauce.

Add chopped parsley and sliced green onion to the mixture and toss everything together.

Once the rice has finished simmering, add the mushroom and onion mixture to the rice and mix well.
