Traditionally enjoyed as a snack or side dish, it reflects the vibrant flavors of West African cuisine. Today, it has gained popularity beyond its borders, often served in restaurants and at gatherings worldwide.

Peel the ripe plantains and cut them into thick slices.
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
Add the plantain slices to the skillet in a single layer.
Fry the plantains until golden brown on one side, about 3-4 minutes.
Flip the plantains and fry the other side until golden, another 3-4 minutes.
Remove the fried plantains from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
In a separate bowl, mix salt, pepper, minced garlic, and chopped onion.
Add chopped hot pepper and lime juice to the mixture and stir well.
Toss the fried plantains in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.
Garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
