Smoked Queso Dip

1 pound ground chuck (sirloin)
minced onion
garlic powder

2 cans Rotel (drained)
diced jalapeno peppers (drained)

Preheat the smoker and prepare a cast iron skillet.

Add half a block (16 ounces) of Velveeta cheese to the skillet.

Add 1 pound of browned ground chuck with minced onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet.

Add 2 cans of drained Rotel to the skillet.

Add drained diced jalapeno peppers to the skillet.

Place the cast iron skillet in the smoker and set a timer for 30 to 45 minutes.

After 15 minutes, stir the mixture in the skillet.

Continue smoking for a total of 35 minutes, then remove from the smoker and let cool before serving.
