1 kg Amla (gooseberry / nellikai)
600 gram Sugar
2 tbsp Lemon juice

Wash the amla thoroughly and remove any impurities.

Boil the amla in water until soft.

Drain the amla and let it cool.

Prepare a sugar syrup by dissolving sugar in water and adding lemon juice.

Add the boiled amla to the sugar syrup and cook until the syrup thickens and coats the amla.

Remove from heat and let it cool down.

Once cooled, store the amla candy in an airtight container.
