1

Preheat your pot (Urban Wear pot or any ordinary pot) for 1-2 minutes on high heat.

2

Cut 4 strips of bacon down the middle, stack, and cut into small pieces.

3

Place the bacon in the pot and add a pinch of salt and a little black pepper. Sauté on high heat for about 2 minutes until the fat renders.

4

Add 1/4 cup of scallion (white part) to the pot and sauté for another 1-2 minutes until the bacon is browned.

5

Add 1 tablespoon of fine ground gochugaru to the pot and mix well.

6

Pour in 2.5 cups of hot water (2 cups + 1/2 cup) into the pot.

7

Add the chopped onion, Korean radish, and 1 tablespoon of minced garlic to the pot. Mix well.

8

Add 1 tea bag of Tashi mix (or alternative anchovies and kelp) to the pot and cover with a lid. Lower the heat to medium and cook for 5-7 minutes.

9

After 6 minutes, remove the Tashi tea bag and squeeze out the liquid back into the pot.

10

Add 2 packets of silken sundubu, cutting them in half and gently breaking them up in the pot.

11

Add the sliced carrots and 1 teaspoon of brown sugar to the pot and mix.

12

Add 1/2 tablespoon of soy sauce (kanjang) to the pot and mix well.

13

Let the stew boil on high heat for 5 minutes.

14

(Optional) Add 1 teaspoon of beef bouillon powder for extra flavor.

15

Add the zucchini slices to the pot and turn off the heat immediately.

16

Taste the stew and adjust salt if necessary.

17

(Optional) Add red or green spicy peppers for extra heat.

18

Drizzle 1 teaspoon of sesame oil on top of the stew.

19

(Optional) Crack an egg into the stew and mix or let it sit submerged for a couple of minutes.
