Gola Kebab

500g minced meat (lamb or beef)
1 medium onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 inch ginger, grated
2 green chilies, finely chopped
1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1/2 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp red chili powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 egg, beaten

In a large mixing bowl, combine the minced meat, chopped onion, garlic, ginger, green chilies, and coriander leaves.

Add the garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to the mixture. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

Add the breadcrumbs and beaten egg to the mixture. This will help bind the kebabs together. Mix until well incorporated.

Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion around a skewer, forming a long kebab shape.

Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.

Place the skewers on the grill or in the oven and cook for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the kebabs are cooked through and have a nice char.

Once cooked, remove the kebabs from the skewers and serve hot with mint chutney and sliced onions.

Garnish with lemon wedges and fresh coriander if desired.
