Cut the tofu into pieces approximately 2 cm thick (about 3x4 inches) and drain the water, sprinkling salt on it.

Finely chop the garlic, green onion, carrot, and green chili pepper.

Mix the chopped vegetables with gochugaru, salt, soy sauce, and sesame oil.

Heat oil in a pan and add the tofu, cooking until golden brown.

Once both sides of the tofu are golden, add the seasoning mixture and 1/3 cup of water, simmering until thickened.

Serve the finished braised tofu on a plate.
